Modest Mix turns 1!

Today marks the first birthday of Modest Mix! (Note the card I made *insert goofy grin*) I can't believe it's been a year since I started this blog. Even though I had been reading blogs for years, having my own and writing posts seemed a bit scary 'till I decided I really wanted it in February last year, maybe? I wrote my introduction on 1 April 2013 (click *here* to read). One year later and I'm still loving this!

The main reason why I started Modest Mix was to practice my writing skills (I study English at university) and tell people about my life. Things turned out a bit different! Beauty became the main focus - still with a personal touch, luckily - but I don't mind because I love everything cosmetics related. I also learned that my passion for writing has grown a lot. Even though I only post once or twice a week, I spend a lot of time writing (blog posts or otherwise) and it's never been not exciting. It doesn't really come across online, but I feel so happy when you, people who read my blog, like what I write - especially when I worked really hard on that particular post.

For this somewhat 'special' occasion and with my 21st birthday coming up, I've decided to set up a giveaway for you! Tomorrow at 7 AM (GMT+1 Belgian time zone) I will post about one of my latest favourite makeup products and you'll have the chance to win that same product. It's still a surprise, but I can assure you it's a hyped product amongst makeup fanatics. So don't forget to check again tomorrow!
