In a world where everything has to go fast and there's no time to lose, it's no wonder that beauty brands would start bringing their version of time-saving products into the stores. The first thing that comes to mind when I hear 'beauty' and 'fast' together is fast-drying top coats. I hate when I have to wait for my nail polish to dry - I often forget I have a fresh manicure and end up smudging the polish. This year Bourjois released the Instant Dry Nail Enamel Dryer. They are easy-to-use nail drops that help nail polish dry twice as fast.

Now this may not seem very exciting except I usually change the colour once or twice a week when I give myself an at-home manicure. Let's talk nail care. It surprised me that I rarely talk about nail care on here, yet it's something I enjoy taking time for. I wouldn't say I have the healthiest nails, nor do I know the right tools or techniques to care for nails/hands. I just love that 'me-time' a few days a week where I prep my nails for a coat of colour. These are the tools I'll use:

The newest nail polishes in my stash - what a strange word, isn't it - happen to be perfect for summer. I'm talking about Mint Candy Apple and Sand Tropez from Essie. These are my first Essie polishes and although I didn't buy them expecting a longer-lasting manicure, I'm impressed. On the condition that I've used a top coat of course, manis aren't finished until after a top coat.

Last month I headed to Antwerp to meet some friends. Of course while I was there, it was inevitable that I would be doing some shopping! (More blog posts about what I bought coming soon!) Shopping in Antwerp is always fun because there are shops we don't have in Ghent, like COS, Urban Outfitters, etc. However, I was particularly excited to visit the new & Other Stories. They just opened two shops in Belgium, which are absolutely worth visiting. I didn't find the sunglasses I was looking for, but besides that it was the beauty section that had me most curious!

For as long as I can remember, I've loved wearing nail polish. Taking the time to put a fun colour on my nails while I'm catching up on episodes of my favourite tv show can be so relaxing. As a true fanatic, it's no surprise I'm constantly finding new polishes to add to my collection. (The big white box in the background is actually filled with polish bottles!)

As a nail polish lover, I'm always on the lookout for certain shades that would look great in my collection. Two of them being Catrice's Meet Me at Coral Island and L'Oréal's Confetti Top Coat. For some odd reason I couldn't find them anywhere... Until I came across both a couple of days ago - at a discount, talk about luck. Eager to try them out, I found they actually match beautifully.

I love the effect of the confetti top coat. I'm going to be wearing this with all kinds of shades very often. Unfortunately removing it is a chore, as it is with all glitter nail polishes, but let's ignore that just this one time.
