Roberto Cavalli Paradiso eau de parfum

Fruity. Tropical. Sensual. That's how I would describe Roberto Cavalli's Paradiso Eau de Parfum. It was created as an interpretation of mediterranean Summer, a symphony of sun-drenched beaches and the versatile landscapes of Italy. Vacation in a bottle, I like the sound of that!

Paradiso opens with a burst of citrus, followed by the floral heart of jasmine. The composition ends with a warm woody base of cypress, parasol pine and pink laurel. I was introduced to the perfume this Autumn and while it's not a typical fragrance for this time of year, its woody notes perfectly compliment the chilly, yet sunny days we've had this season. Still, the citrus is very uplifting and refreshing. I usually opt for heavy ingredients such as tonka bean and vanilla in perfume, so this is a nice change. Paradiso quickly grew on me! It doesn't linger on my skin or hair as long as I'd like (it stays noticeable for approx. 4 hours), but I'm not that bothered because reapplying brings back those yummy sweet hints of mandarin orange. Nonetheless, please let me know if you have any tips on making perfume last longer!

The bottle is made out of heavy, sturdy glass and has golden details. The cap was designed to resemble a sun-reflecting diamond and has the brand logo engraved on top. It has a safe click-cap system so there's no chance of the product leaking when travelling. Even though the design is not my style, I think it would look pretty displayed on a makeup vanity.

bergamot x mandarin
jasmine
cypress x parasol pine x pink laurel

A sweet, yet sensual fragrance that takes me right back to Summer memories: Paradiso has got it covered!

  2. Best wel benieuwd! Ik hou van mandarijn en citrus noten, maar jasmijn vind ik vaak wat "té". Gaan ruiken is de enige oplossing! :D
