Outfit inspiration: Combining prints

Festival season is here! When I go to a festival or on a short trip, I like to pack so I can mix and match outfits without having to bring too many clothes. I'll pick one piece that works with any outfit - something that always looks fashionable, and it'll save space in the suitcase! Win-win situation! Sevenbien.nl is a Dutch shop that sells trendy, yet affordable women's clothing. They offer interesting discounts every week and recently launched a page devoted entirely to festival outfits. One of the aztec print jumpers on their website has caught my eye and it got me thinking: How would I style this item?
Jeans and a jumper make a failproof combination. I basically live in jeans and knitwear, so they're a must-have for me. I also really like the snake print boots. They give the outfit an edgy touch; I'm actually surprised at how well they go with the aztec print! Usually I'd play it safe when it comes to wearing different prints at the same time, but these would rock worn together. I'd add a medium-sized clutch bag. This one looks big enough to carry the essentials without being heavy.
On warmer days I'll trade the jeans for shorts. These high-waisted ones are so cool! Again it's got animal print details, but it's subtle. Going crazy on the prints here, I know, but am I the only one who thinks everything looks really good together? The Birkenstock look-alike slippers are so cute too. As for bags, the clutch bag would still do fine. Don't forget to wear sunglasses!

OK sooo I love prints, but I usually wear a dress with bold print without combining it with anything else that has one! The outfits you put together are very bohemian chic! Definitely festival-appropriate ;)

ReplyDeleteLOVE prints, I finally own a few more bright/loud prints and I just adore mixing them with more neutral items! All of the sweaters look great :)

Sounds great! I should definitely introduce more colour and prints into my wardrobe, I keep going for plain black or grey :o
