Time for something different today... In the year that I've been blogging, I've always tried to add a personal touch to reviews or blog posts, but I feel like I've never really told you about myself. This is going to change right now! The past few weeks I wrote down a list of 'random facts'. I'm not saying they'll necessarily help you to get to know me better as a person, but it sure was fun to think about things to write about! I actually wanted to 'premiere' my first video on Modest Mix and literally tell you about myself, but the past weeks have been so busy with finals that I had to postpone that idea for now. Without further ado, it's time to get awkward!
1- I was named Alyssa after the actress Alyssa Milano. Apparently she was very hip at the time! (Fun to know: My friends started calling me Lys when I was 10.)
2- I really like wearing nail polish. My nail polish collection is quite impressive and I still can't stop buying them!
3- I don't like coffee. Tea, however, YES.
4- My grandparents used to have a shop in the city where they sold mainly fruit and vegetables, but also beverages, ice cream and other foods. It was such a cute shop. They sold it when I was 4 and moved into the house next to ours, where they lived until I was 18 or 19 years old.
5- I am a straw biter.
6- My earlobes are stretched to 20 mm. They're currently the only piercings I have. Besides that, I've had my tongue, nape, helix and collarbones pierced.
7- My favourite TV show when I was a kid was Dragonball Z. (Pokémon deserves a mention too! I will love Pokémon forever.)
8- I wore glasses until I had eye surgery at the age of 6. It's the only surgery I've had.
9- I hate talking on the phone, which is weird, because I usually talk a lot.
10- My shoes of choice will always be sneakers. I feel awkward when I'm wearing high heels because I'm not used to it.
11- I do not drink alcohol or smoke.
12- It may not seem like it, but I'm a perfectionist. See how the angle of the picture in this blog post is slightly off? It's killing me.
13- I never ever ever want to go bungee jumping, skydiving or do any activity similar to it. The thought of 'falling' in the sky scares me so much.
14- I am so pale, my own family asks me if I'm feeling ill all the time.
15- I really want to attend a baseball game in the US someday. Must be so cool!
And here you have it... 15 random facts about me. I have so much more to tell you about (maybe a Random Facts - Part 2 would be a good idea?), but for now I hope you liked reading about the person behind this blog!
