Black is the new black. Christophe Urbain got the message. With the help of designers Matthias Yzebaert ('Mayz') and Ben Urbain (glossy.tv) he transformed the basement area of his Rewind Men's store in Ghent, Belgium, into a true paradise for those who can't resist a good timeless piece to complete their wardrobe.
Rewind B.L.C.K.+ is a place you must visit if you're a fan of exclusive brands like Avelon, The Last Conspiracy, the DRKSHDW and Lilies collections by Rick Owens, etc.
The choice of interior for this room is one of my favourites. Dark, raw, edgy. The look was kept rough and industrial, but finished with furniture and accessories that stand out. I could declare my love for black clothing all day, but for me the decoration of this new hotspot was the main reason I had to visit and see for myself.
To anyone who is captivated by high-end fashion or minimalistic design, I'd highly recommend stopping by the Rewind store when visiting Ghent; it's worth it!

Designer and artist Alina Preciado designed her 185 m² loft in Brooklyn, NY and probably made it one of the coolest buildings I've ever seen. Preciado combined an industrial and rustic look (such as the exposed pipes and factory windows) with modern furniture and items she found during her travels around the world. There is so much to see in here and still the rooms have so much open space left. Eye-catching without a doubt.

House at the Lake is a concept house envisioned by Ukranian architect and interior designer Igor Sirotov.
Sirotov restricted the interior to all-grey, which in my opinion enhances the calmness in the building. The open space is so relaxing. I wouldn't mind spending some time here to get away from all the fuss one's forced to deal with every day.

Over the past one to two years, I have developed a strong interest in interior decoration and design.
Apart from browsing the Internet every now and then, I've never had the time to learn more about the techniques that are used when decorating a room. But... despite my lack of knowledge, I thought it might be fun to share some of my ideas.
Keep in mind I'm just an amateur. I know little to nothing about decoration.
Of course, feedback and tips are welcome. One of the reasons I decided to post about this topic is to learn. :)

With the exams coming up, all that's on my mind is work, work, work. So I began to wonder what the perfect office/workspace would look like for me, f.e. in five years time when I'll have finished uni and will be working full-time.
I want to keep the decoration simple. I like the classic touches in this composition, such as the wall art. In reality this room would probably be full of things I don't need, ha! This office has a sofa and kind of a 'relaxing' corner, because I'm not the kind of person to sit on a chair for 8 hours non stop. Everyone likes being comfortable, right? Also comes in handy if I'd have a job with clients coming over.
And of course, the jar of sweets! I don't need to explain myself for wanting these within reach. I have a sweet tooth sometimes :)
