A shower essential that is often overlooked, is body scrub. A weekly scrub session offers various benefits for the skin: not only does exfoliating remove dead skin cells, it also boosts blood flow, resulting in healthier, brighter skin, and helps any moisturising products applied afterwards perform better. After all the work you've put in deep-cleansing in the shower, you'll be left with skin that is smooth and soft. Not to forget scrubbing makes for an amazing spa-like experience, giving you the chance to relax and have a me-time moment.

I made exfoliating my body a weekly shower ritual when I was introduced to the Steel Garden Body Scrub from & Other Stories. The store has an assortment of sugar scrubs that leave skin feeling silky soft with a hint of the luscious scent lingering all night long. Its Steel Garden collection in particular is known for its rich, sweet fragrance with perfume notes such as green apple, honey, chamomile and fresh rose. This body scrub has a thick consistency that can be applied on damp or - carefully, as it's sugar-based and contains fairly large scrub particles - on dry skin. What's important is that it thoroughly exfoliates skin without being too harsh. When mixed with water, the scrub transforms into a milky lather. Because the sugar particles dissolve too, I find that the substance serves perfect as a shaving cream, as well. Finally, price-wise, I believe & Other Stories scrubs are absolutely worth what you paid for! €9 is not expensive at all when you consider I've had a 250ml pot since February and haven't used up half. These body scrubs are a winner to me and they make my weekly scrub session a real spa-like treatment.

What's your favourite fragrance from & Other Stories? Have you given their skincare products a go?
